The Speed of Cloud Business in 2010 (so far)
Once again, we've been remiss on posting here. Since January 1st, the speed of business has been gaining momentum nicely.
The interest in our products and services has increased quite a bit since October of 2009 but, the first two months of the year have been staggering. Our business partners have come out with new products, small and mid-size companies have ratcheted up their requests for SOW's, existing clients have increased their usage and we've brought on some new clients to boot.
It's been nice and it looks like the momentum is going to carry over to Q2 easily. This is a great time because it's allowing us to grow and become a bit more "cautiously optimistic" about about the future. Cirrhus9 has a lot of really cool things in the pipeline that will be announced this year and we can't wait to roll them out for everyone.
3Tera has been working on getting their Appstore up and running. Something Cirrhus9 plans on participating heavily in. The Appstore is a place where existing Applogic customers can go to get additional functionality for their grids. Some of the applications will be free, some will have a price tag on them but, in the end, the selection should be pretty big and the deployment will be relatively easy.
Amazon has just come out with a new instance size as well as reserved instance pricing for Windows. The reserved Windows pricing will make a very attractive alternative even more so. You can reduce you costs significantly with this option and all of the Windows licensing is handled through your monthly bill. I like this option and, as a matter of fact, we will be using it in a SOW that we will be producing this week.
One of the hottest topics of late has been our QMI's™ (Qualified Machine Images). These are images that can be run in AWS or Applogic and come with Installation and Operational Qualification documentation. The QMI's™ and, all of the accompanying documentation, allow businesses to comply with governmental regulations easier and in a very cost effective manner. We have had a lot of companies ask about these lately and we've been all too willing to give them the information. We're excited about this because, well, because these are our babies really. Everyone here has worked long and hard on them and the fact that acceptance is on an upswing is exciting.
Well, that's probably enough for now. We'll post more information on things as it makes itself available to us. If you would like any additional informaiton on any of the topics listed in this post, or on any of our other services, please don't hesitate to contact us. We'll answer your questions as quickly as we can.
Thanks!
Mike
